Mandi Mapes
Vodpod videos no longer available.
I first heard Mandi Mapes at a youth ministry conference last fall. She is part of the worship team at The Church at Brook Hills, here in Birmingham. I can’t wait for her to release an album. Her music was featured as a part of a “soundtrack” to David Platt’s sermon series on Ruth, called Love Story. I can’t wait for her to release an album.

Avery’s Dedication
Avery Wells Gambrell was dedicated on August 16, 2009 at Dawson Memorial Baptist church by Dr. Gary Fenton. It was a special day for our entire family.
Avery’s First Beach Trip
We took a much needed vacation to Destin, Florida from August 10-15. This was Avery’s first trip to the coast. We had a great time! Vacationing with a child is much different from our previous vacations, pre-Avery. We learned that it’s not about us anymore. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
(a lot more pictures on my Facebook page)
New Camera
Jaime and I gave ourselves our Christmas gift to each other a little early this year. We decided to purchase a nice camera before Avery grew anymore. We purchased a Nikon D60 and we’ve been really pleased with the results. We both have a lot to learn about digital SLR photography.

Tyler Dean is Creepy
I am a fan of country music but this is getting a little out of hand…
I see a weird trend developing. Taylor Swift “name-dropped” Tim McGraw with her first single and it launched her career…
(that is my dream guitar that Taylor is playing by the way)
I don’t think Tyler Dean’s song will have the same results. I hope Taylor Swift has a restraining order on him.
Who will be the first to release a single entitled, “Tyler Dean”? Rap music is becoming more appealing.
