Life is Good!
Rashad Johnson intercepted 3 passes and Alabama beat LSU in overtime to clinch the SEC West for the first time since 1999. Roll Tide Roll!
Bevill State Community College is making national news. Bevill State is where I spent wasted my first 2 years of college, and my sister, Mary Bec, is currently in nursing school. I stumbled across this article on SportsByBrooks.com:
I bet that kid won’t miss practice again! It seems the baseball program at Bevill has gone downhill since Caleb Hopkins graduated.
Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States of America. Don’t blame me, I voted for McCain.
Inexperienced charisma is what our country wanted and that’s what we got. His acceptance speech was impressive but I really could have done without the constant crowd shots of Jesse Jackson and Oprah Winfrey. John McCain delivered a very classy and humble speech to concede the election. I truly respect John McCain and admire how he fought.
I casted my vote for McCain based on the following issues:
My prayer:
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Timothy 2:1-4).
“Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness”
I exercised my right to vote this morning at Edgewood Elementary School. I waited until 8:30 a.m. to let the school traffic die down. I literally walked right in and grabbed a ballot with no wait at all. I guess there aren’t many people in Homewood with last names that start with “G”.
I just witnessed one of the best college football games that I have ever seen. Texas Tech just knocked off the #1 ranked, Texas Longhorns, 39-33. This means that the Alabama Crimson Tide will more than likely jump to #1 when the polls come out tomorrow. Of course, there is a lot of season left, but I don’t think anyone expected Nick Saban to turn the Tide into championship contenders in just two seasons. I’m sure the intoxicated LSU fans are licking their chops as Saban returns to Baton Rouge next Saturday.
Things are finally as they should be. Alabama #1 and Auburn praying for bowl eligibility. I love this sport!
