When I was a kid, I would wait to receive my Sports Illustrated each week, anxious to see the college football top 25 poll. With Oklahoma and Alabama being atop the polls, I am once again reminded of college football as it is supposed to be.

Jesse “short tie” Palmer is covering the USC-Oregon State game. The “mighty” #1 ranked Trojans are down 21-0 at the half, proving my point that USC would lose 2 to 3 games a year in the SEC. Vanderbilt could probably run the table in the PAC-10. USC will probably make a comeback in the 2nd half and squeak out a win as they usually do. We’ve all seen the Beavers choke before…
