Avery Wells Gambrell was born on January 20, 2009 at 2:41 p.m. at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL. She weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. Jaime was amazing through the whole delivery process. We are overwhelmed with love for our beautiful baby girl! We are so appreciative for the prayers and kind words from so many of our friends and family! We love you all!

The big day is finally here…and this has nothing to do with Barack Obama. After a night in labor and delivery, Jaime has now progressed to 3 cm. Dr. Adcock just came in and broke her water and prayed over us. Mike and Renee are now here and we are just waiting on Avery to make her arrival.
Obama was right about one thing…Change is definitely coming to the Gambrell house!
Jaime and I checked into Brookwood Hospital this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. It actually snowed on us on the way to the hospital. Doctor Ross came in a few hours ago and gave Jaime some meds to soften her cervix. Now the waiting game begins. Dr. Adcock will induce labor first thing in the morning. I pray that God gives Jaime a peaceful night and a great delivery tomorrow! Stay tuned…
Congratulations to Caleb and Maria Hopkins! Their baby girl was born this morning! Ingrid Lucia Hopkins weighed 6 lbs, 11 oz. Now if Avery would ever get here, she’d have a friend to play with.
Our baby girl is due today, but like a typical girl, it looks like she is running a tad bit late. I can’t wait to meet you Avery. It looks like you are already taking after your daddy!
