I’m in New Orleans this week taking a Disaster Relief class at NOBTS. I’m in my third year of seminary but this is my first trip to New Orleans for a class. Last night, I experienced another first…Cafe’ Du Monde. I had a plate of Beignets and a cup of Cafe’ Au Lait. I can’t wait to go back!
Pray for me this week as our class ministers to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav.
My first event as a student minister was our Middle School Retreat to Camp Dawson. A friend of mine from seminary, Cory Horton, was our speaker. Another friend of mine from seminary, Chad Hunsberger, and his band, Unfettered, led our worship. Cory talked to us about the importance of God’s Word. It was a great weekend! I have a great group of students and it was a great chance for me to get to know them better.
Jaime is now in her 3rd Trimester and so we have started getting baby Avery’s nursery ready. It looks as if she’ll have the nicest room in the house!
